Beagle's Bed & Breakfast
A country vacation for your dog
The Beagle wants everyone to sleep like a queen.
They also saw another problem with most
boarding options: limited hours of operation. "If
we leave home, we want our dogs there when we
return. So does anyone else," Angela said.
Rather than force travelers to make their plans
around an 8-5 weekday business, pet owners
can drop off their pets late for the night, and pick
them up early to hit the road, or vice versus, by
appointment. Those going out of town for the
weekend can pick up that other family member
when they get home instead of waiting until
Monday morning.

Rainbow Bridge
Just this side of heaven is a place called
Rainbow Bridge.
When an animal dies that has been especially
close to someone here, that pet goes to
Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills
for all of our special friends so they can run
and play together. There is plenty of food,
water and sunshine, and our friends are warm
and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are
restored to health and vigor. Those who were
hurt or maimed are made whole and strong
again, just as we remember them in our
dreams of days and times gone by. The
animals are happy and content, except for one
small thing; they each miss someone very
special to them, who had to be left behind.
They all run and play together, but the day
comes when one suddenly stops and looks into
the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His
eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run
from the group, flying over the green grass, his
legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and
your special friend finally meet, you cling
together in joyous reunion, never to be parted
again. The happy kisses rain upon your face;
your hands again caress the beloved head,
and you look once more into the trusting eyes
of your pet, so long gone from your life but
never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

Beagle's Bed & Breakfast opened in May
2007 with the vision of offering dog owners an
alternative to their vet's office as a place to
leave their loved ones when they travel.

The kennel area is housed inside a fenced
play yard, creating a double blanket of security
for pets with heating and air conditioning to
keep them comfortable, whatever the weather.
A rescue dog from Pet Finders who turned out
to have a winning personality is a permanent
resident of the kennel, providing those who
arrive scared with comforting pheromones
instead of an atmosphere of fear, confusion
and pain, which  the vet's office often cannot
avoid.

Angela and Andreas Schmoll, who operate
the small kennel at their home, have years of
experience with dogs as well as vet tech
certification. "We knowing what our dogs want
and need, and we want to deliver the same to
our guests: a comfortable place to sleep; a
daily walk to exercise and explore the world
as a pack; time to play or sit in the sun;
familiar food and fresh water; a good cuddle
and a treat at bedtime," Angela said. "We fall
in love with them and look forward to their
return visits."
